William Boyajian, Jewelry Artisan Profile
As my first Jewelry Artisan profile I would like to introduce the talented William B. residing right here in beautiful Naples, Florida.
He was born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida however he was raised in California before moving back to the East coast right here to Naples, Florida. William B. graduated locally from Naples High School and went directly back to California to study at G.I.A. Becoming a Graduate Gemologist at the age of 18, William Leo Boyajian was certainly on the road to becoming one of the worlds top designers. After GIA William moved to the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California where he earned his B.A. Fast forward a few years and after sketch book upon sketch book filled with beautiful drawings of the most outstanding couture and ready to wear jewelry I had ever imagined. Being located in S.W. Florida, more specifically in Naples, Florida... steps from the Gulf of Mexico, William B. created collection after collection of Sea Life jewelry that is to this day very popular amongst tourist and the Naples Elite themselves. With a flair for creativity, not to mention his formal training. William B. has also created everyday jewelry collections for both men and women. Usage of the finest quality diamonds an colored stones, the William B. brand can be found in jewelry boxes all over the world. I am thrilled to have William B. here in Naples, Florida and to have the pleasure to have worked with such a creative and innovative artist. I believe we will be seeing many great things from the up and coming William B.

Just In Time For New Years Eve
William B. Design Ring with 6.39 Ct. Marquise Diamond. $37,135.00
Diamonds became popular as ornaments in jewelry in the 1400's and the different techniques and styles of diamond cuts such as the Marquise Cut Diamond were gradually developed over many years. The Marquise cut is also known as the "Navette cut". The history and creation of the Marquise cut is credited to King Louis XV of France, who commissioned his court jeweller to create a diamond cut to reflect the beautiful shape of the mouth of his mistress the Marchioness Madame de Pompadour.
Fine Burmese Sapphire
This is a 10.19 cart exceedingly fine sapphire that I am fortunate enough to examine. It is part of The Boyajian Private Collection, and was recently re-cut by renowned lapidary Mark Grunland. This sapphire has been tested by GIA and is a perfect example of a Natural, NO treatment Sapphire; and more importantly its Origin is from the Mogôk Valley. Although Myanmar, once known as Burma, is a well-known source of some of the world's best rubies, few are aware that it also produces fine sapphires. Although yields fluctuate due to internal politics and policies,Quality sapphires have always been exceedingly rare – accounting for only about 10% of the total corundum yield. Although the fortunes of the Mogôk mines have risen and fallen over the centuries as management has shifted between private, imperial, and governmental oversight, experts hope that the great "Valley of Gems" will yield many more sapphire treasures in the future.
