Growing up in Naples, I was lucky enough as a child to never visit the hospital more than once. When I was there, I remember feeling that I was part of the community and the medical staff were very nice to me. It’s always been my belief that a community without a good hospital is not a community at all. I wanted to do something special for the Naples Hospital Ball to help their children’s wing in North Naples. So I teamed up with Dr. Pia Myers who help me recognize how the community would greatly benefit from updated additions to the children’s emergency room at the North Community Hospital. For the ball, I created the “heart of a child” pendant and this was a big hit. It showed three children holding hands to heal by faith, hope and caring professionals.
